The Great Sahara Desert

The Sahara is the world’s largest desert, located in northern Africa, it extends 1610 km across the continent and has a width of 5,150 km from the Atlantic Ocean to the Red Sea. Its total area is over 9 million square kilometers, of which only 207,200 are partially fertile oases. It spans the territory of the following countries: Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Niger, Libya, Egypt and Chad, although it is known that this great desert expands and contracts to regular cycles, so that its borders with the different territories are not very consistent. The Sahara has great mountains and plains of sand and stone which are vast expanses of sand dunes. At intervals, in the midst of aridity, are some oasis with water. Jos: A City with much to Offer

Jos is a city in the belt of Nigeria and is the administrative capital of Plateau State. Did you know that during the British rule became a major mining center? Tenere Desert more Beautiful

Oba Palace

Modern Benin City is a rapidly developing metropolis, but there are few reminders of its long history of Yoruba. The old city moat and wall survive in places and the National Museum houses an interesting collection of art from the kingdom of Benin. Oba Palace is interesting to be visited, but need to get permission in Lagos.

Many of the people as Sapoba, Sapele Abaraka and are of interest for their crafts and traditions of magic, but they are only accessible by foot or canoe.

Calabar is a pleasant town with beautiful scenery situated on top of hill overlooking the Calabar River. Ikot Ekepne is the center for wood carving and basketry, and Oronthere is famous museum exhibitions Ibibio and Efik carvings.
